Today I took part in the Thursday morning meditation at the Shambhala Institute for the first time. This meditation took about 2 hours to complete. There was a break in the middle for tea and cookies. Both sitting and walking meditation where incorporated into this practice.

Tonight I went out to the Vedic chanting at Crawford Street. They were unable to figure out the source of a strange burning odor upstairs. An electrician had been over the previous week. Derrick had broken his foot. He was getting around on crutches. Gwen discussed the benefits of taking a B vitamin with me. She also recommended the use of coconut oil in my hair. There was some discussion with Melissa about Vedic astrology.

Tonight is the eve of the Scorpio Full Moon. I would have appreciated the opportunity to do a full blown prosperity ritual. Scorpio is the astrological sign which governs the house of finances in my natal chart. Unfortunately, now is not the convenient time or place for that. I took part in a yoga class over at St Felix today. I brought my own candle to light. Sherry, my yoga teacher, thought it was cute of me to do this. She often brings candles for each of us to light in order to help us relax. I brought my large green Bayberry scented candle. I also brought some Jupiter incense for the class to inhale. I worked through the poses gently as I am on my Moon cycle right now.
Today I made a few attempts to find an apartment. I called about a bachelor located across the street from Florence Booth at Queen and Palmerston. I also gave my information to Ashley at St Felix. I am going to put my name on the waiting list for a room in that house. I sent an email to the person in charge of housing.
